MVista Strategies’ experience base includes work in many industries and various sized companies. Our focus continues to be results oriented in a “win/win” scenario. It is our belief that key stakeholders working together produce results that are mutually beneficial and lasting.

Advocacy

  • As Chairman of the Natural Gas Vehicles for America (NGVAmerica) State Government Advocacy Committee for over 5 years, Sherrie Merrow has provided action-oriented leadership of more than 40 NGVAmerica member companies represented by over 80 advocacy people in support of natural gas vehicle (NGV) policy and incentives at the state level. Success is shown by the 29 states who now have NGV policy and incentives in place, with additional states added each year.
  • Specific advocacy success was achieved in Sherrie’s work with the Wyoming Natural Gas Vehicle and Infrastructure Coalition, Wyoming Natural Gas Producers, Wyoming Petroleum Marketers’ Association, Petroleum Association of Wyoming, Wyoming Department of Transportation and the Wyoming Legislature to pass House Bill 69 in 2014 (defines excise tax for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in terms of gasoline and diesel gallon equivalents).
  • Working with similar groups in New Mexico, Sherrie was able to lead the effort for a similar bill in the New Mexico Legislature in 2014 (HB 30).
  • Speaking engagements include NGVAmerica’s Annual Conference (2012, 2014, 2015), Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo (2012, 2015), various Governor’s and state’s NGV events, and other trade show and industry events in the software and telecom industries.
